Ordered takeout from them for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the value! We got the small party tray, everything was so fresh and there was definitely bang for your buck. Highly recommend and will definitely order from them again.
I ordered takeout from this location around a week ago, ordered through them by text (you can call or text the number to place an order), and they were quick to respond with prices and negotiable times for pick up. Good customer service! Was greeted upon arrival with a warm welcome and good interactions with the workers, picked up the food shortly after and paid. The process was quick and easy, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I noticed a few sushi takeout places around Yonge and Finch are skimpy with their fish and high on prices, but this shop is the exact opposite. Worth the visit.
This has been our to-go sushi place since COVID. We came across this little store seeing lots of people waiting outside for pick up all the time and decided to give it a try. It's been years and the portion and price is great. Ofc the fish is fresh and that's the reason why we come back all these years! (Our favourite is PT07 and get plenty for four of us)
Honestly the best sushi places I’ve ever gone. I’m not much of a sushi lover, I go to the occasional Japanese restaurant and get maybe a couple of pieces but they never really fit my palette. Like places like Ichiban, or Sushi Moto, etc were never really interesting. But after discovering this absolute whole in the wall I can’t stop eating. As I’m writing this in the past 24 hours I’ve basically eaten half a platter of their sushi completely on my own. The staff are all amazing people always having an amazing time and really make you feel included and appreciated as a customer. I now go on an almost daily to weekly basis and always order the spicy or the creamy crab rolls exclusively but their huge platters are amazing for parties and gatherings. If you want amazing sushi and the fun and humour from a hibachi restaurant go to VIP sushi they’re cheaper and the experience is way better
Five Stars Aren’t Enough for This Hidden Gem I don’t usually play favourites but this place has long held the title of my top-tier sushi takeout spot. The Sunset and the Diablo rolls got me hooked. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and that balance is everything sushi should be, without the fuss or pretension. I’m sad to see the store is temporarily closed. I'm choosing to believe this means something like an expansion, maybe? A well-deserved glow-up? This place has consistently delivered quality for years, solid, soul-satisfying sushi. If you're reading this, please come back soon. You’re deeply missed, and your fans are waiting 3
Awesome!!! My review is based on my first experience today. I happened to walk by and decided last minute to order the Black Dragon Roll. In one of my previous reviews, I ordered the same item at Sushi One and dined in. That was a mediocre experience. Today’s Black Dragon Roll here was ginormous, fresh, had a really good taste and the unagi (eel) tasted so much better here. I waited around 10-15 minutes only for my one item order. This place has no seating - takeout or delivery only. Highly recommend. The photos speak for themselves!!! The price is the same as Sushi One. I would therefore rather eat from VIPS Sushi.
Huge portions w so many varieties in party tray I always get party trays here for family parties. Price & quality really stands out from other sushi restaurants in North York. Their medium size party tray is like large size in other places. And I love how they toss in other special ingredients for garnishes -like fresh squid roll. Highly highly recommended! my personal wish: pls add uni or sake don in menu I would legit takeout lunch here just for those haha
Although this 40 piece part tray was a little bit pricey (71 with tax) Their fish was really fresh and large. I like their crispy avocado shrimp roll especially. Their maki rolls were huge...
